Terms of service
Plain-English terms for advertisers and visitors. Businesses from Australia, New Zealand, the United States and online businesses from anywhere are welcome. Governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without taking away any rights you have under the law of your own country.
1. Who we are
Ladderbid is operated by Ladderbid. Contact: support@ladderbid.com.
2. What you’re buying
A paid advertising placement on a public leaderboard. Rank depends only on the amount paid and can change when others pay more. We don’t promise any number of visits, clicks or sales. Outbid listings stay on the board at their lower rank.
3. Prices
All prices are in Australian dollars and are the final price. One fixed price for everyone, wherever you are, with no extra fees. Any tax is included and paid by Ladderbid. Your bank converts the amount if your card is in another currency. Payments are handled by our secure payment provider. We never see or store your card details. Your invoice is ready to download as soon as you pay. If you lose it, email us and we’ll send the link again.
4. Your listing
You confirm you’re 18 or older, that you’re allowed to advertise what you list, and that your name, link and description are accurate and lawful. You’re responsible for what you advertise, including compliance with the Australian Consumer Law and any industry advertising rules. You give us permission to display your name, description and link on the board.
5. Review and removal
We review each new listing before it goes live and may decline or remove listings that break the rules. Declined listings are refunded in full. If we remove a live listing for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund the unused value on a pro-rata basis.
6. Refunds and your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a remedy if we fail to provide the service with due care and skill or as described. Outside of that, and outside the review refunds above, being outbid by another advertiser is how the service works and isn’t grounds for a refund.
7. Links to other sites
Listings link to sites we don’t control. Every link is marked as sponsored. We don’t endorse any business on the board.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for a failure to provide the service is limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Problems and complaints
Tell us first at support@ladderbid.com. We reply within 5 business days and aim to resolve every complaint within 30 days. If a listing on the board looks misleading or breaks the rules, email us the link and we’ll review it. If you’re still not satisfied with our answer, tell us and we’ll explain your options. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes don’t affect payments already made.
